Flexible straw mouthpieces that can be trimmed over time for to gradually increase the difficulty|||ARK's popular standard Lip Blok® is now available in a flexible version! These simple yet effective oral motor tools naturally exercise the mouth muscles to discourage tongue thrusting, promote tongue retraction, and correct overall tongue positioning. They also prevent individuals from biting the straw and/or putting it too far into their mouths. Simply press them into the top of a straw, and drink.
When purchased, the Flexible Lip Blok measures 3/4" in length. Once the individual becomes accustomed to that length, trim the mouthpiece slightly. Once the individual is comfortable drinking from the new length, trim it slightly again. Repeat until the mouthpiece measures 1/4" in length. This hierarchy slowly teaches individuals to put less and less of the straw into their mouths. When only 1⁄4” is inside the mouth, fluid is deposited in the front of the mouth where it is easier to manage and less likely to cause coughing aspiration. With shorter lengths, you also get a better oral motor workout, as the tongue retracts more, the lips seal better, and the cheeks have more tension.
Choose your package of Flexible Lip Bloks from the pull-down menu above (orange, magenta, or 1 of each color). Straws and cups sold separately, or you can a set of 40 compatible straws via the pull-down menu above. In addition to fitting into most regular drinking straws (measuring approximately .25" in diameter), they can also be pressed over Krazy Straws.

This is a good idea to stop biting of straws. I wish they were a little longer my child pulls it out if the straw Debbie
I´m speech therapist and this product is ideal for those kids that chew the straw. It gives a support point on the lips instead of the theeth. I personally prefer the texture of the flexible one in general, but for some kids the hard one could be better.
This product is amazing. My son chews on all his straws and this is one he has not broken. The material is fantastic.
