The longest pendant shape; Click to see all 11 colors|||ARK's Bite Saber™ Sensory Chewelry is a safe and super cool solution for anyone who needs to chew. At 4 inches long and just under half an inch in diameter at the tip, it’s just the right size to reach the back molars where chewing is needed the most. Use it to provide calming proprioceptive input to the jaw, and/or as a safe alternative to chewing on fingers, shirt collars, sleeves, pencils, etc. The Bite Saber™ features a tactile handle with a smooth "blade" for biting/chewing. And like all ARK chews, it comes in three color-coded toughness levels:
Choose your option from the menu above. Each pendant is sold individually with its own adjustable breakaway necklace cord. Color hues may vary slightly.
Designed, manufactured, and assembled in the USA by ARK Therapeutic. Medical grade, FDA compliant, NO lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latex.
Caution: This product is not a toy. The clasp and cord are not intended for chewing. Contains small parts that may pose a choking hazard - direct supervision required. Recommended for ages 5 years and up. Although these chew tools are sturdy and durable, no chew tool is indestructible. Wear/tear may be expected given the nature of the intended use. How long they last is typically equal to the amount and intensity of the chewing, as well as other variables (such as jaw strength, stress/anxiety levels, if other sensory strategies are in place, etc.). While for some people a chew tool will last forever, for others with heavy/aggressive oral needs, they may go through it very quickly. Please supervise at all times, regularly inspect the chew, and replace if necessary if the item shows signs of wear and tear. For the longest lasting chew tool overall, click here.
This chewy saber appeals to my 3 yo sons fascination with swords but unfortunately he likes to stick it up his nose!! I prefer the Lego block version for this reason. All of the Ark chewables has been great. The are very durable and I love that I can adjust the length of each necklace. Stacy G
This really helps my son who before would always chew on his shirts or pick at his skin. Angela Marie
This is the second type of "chewy" that we have purchased from ARK. I have purchased the "Lego" necklaces for my oldest daughter several times. They were instrumental in her being able to adjust to Kindergarten. So, when my 2 year old needed to start weaning from her pacifier, I knew that I needed to find something to replace it. For my youngest, she rubs her pacifier on her cheeks as a soothing action, and nothing that I had around the house could replace the feel of the pacifier. So these sabers were perfect. She doesn't use them to chew on like they were traditionally meant for, but they have the feel that she was looking for and help her satisfy her sensory need in a way that will be better for her in the long run. I think these are great quality. Any product I have purchased has been excellent in quality and value. So I definitely recommend the saber or any of the other necklaces for both a need to chew (like my oldest) or for something a little more out of the box (like my youngest). Jennifer
After being referred to your site my boys have something safe to chew on that doesn't cause their hands to chap or blister. I have one fierce chewer who needs a different shape so we'll have fun finding what works best for him.
The chewelry in general makes an amazing difference. Thank you! Jenny
Prior to Ark Therapetics chew necklaces, my son chewed down his nail, his lego bricks as well as all his other toys, his shirts, etc. He made endless unconscious noises and darting about his classroom making his teachers nuts. He has been wearing his chew necklaces for the past 2 years and that has helped him focus and be still to complete his daily work and save so so many toys. Each XXT lasts 2 months before it starts cracking and need replacement. Thank you Ark Therapeutics for creating products that are restlessness outlets for my son as well as save my sanity. Momo4
The design of the bitesaber is great for reaching the back teeth. Had to switch from xxt to xt and my son is very satisfied. Customer service is above and beyond as well. Love the this company. Lindsey
My son wears his Sabor Chew everywhere he goes. It looks like a fun necklace, and he can chew it whenever he wants. I feel confident he's safe with the break away cord. Overall we are happy with the Sabor Chew and will order more! Thanks ARK! Charlene E Steiger
Works great for autistic teen!
Purchased in XXT T.H
This is the second Saber chew I've bought. My son, age 7, chews on everything! He's gone from chewing on everything to just this. I'm so grateful for this find. This is a wonderful product! Amanda Grant
This is the 2nd chewy necklace that we've bought from ARK- I've been happy with both for their durability and styles (lego & this sabor). My 7 year old likes the different colors but also complains that she wants a different color than what the strength she needs it offered in. The downside of this sabor is the length for us- It functions very well but she complains that it's too long on the necklace, meaning it hangs too low for her comfort. So she will use it at home or in the car while she doesn't have the necklace on her- she'll just hold it. At school she doesn't like to wear it because it hangs too low and it hits on her desk all the time- and if I were to shorten the length of the cord anymore than it is she wouldn't be able to flip it over to her mouth when she was wearing it. It would be awesome if there was an option for the cord to go through the middle and have it hang horizontal as well.
A+ on the style, All the kids at school thinks it's really cool and ask her where she got it from. :)
She was the one to pick this necklace out and it has the both smooth and textured surface that she is able to get her fix from, she calls it her bite savor.... and I agree with the savor. It has saved us from more wet or stretched out shirts, chewed toys, fingers constantly in her mouth.... E.A.
I bought this for my brother who has a tendency to bite his lip whenever he needs stimulation. He says he likes it. It's smooth and I believe he's getting into the habit of sucking on it, or playing with it when we primarily only want him using it as a replacement behavior. Overtime, I think it will be really beneficial for him. Adela
My son loves his chewy bite saber. And as soon as I see his OT I will be asking her about the butter grip pencil holder you guys feature in the brochure that was sent with my order. I have high hopes that that will help him with his handwriting which is an ongoing struggle for him. Chaya
These are great for my autistic son that has sensory issues. My only complaint would be I wish you could get more colors in the XXT. He has to have the toughest ones but they only come in blue or green. He wants other colors but I have to tell him he can't have those. Tesla Link
My son was chewing his fingers and also his nails were down to the cuticles. Since having this he is able to chew to calm himself if he is feeling anxious and focusing better at school. We are already looking to get him another in XXT. Vivian Parker
My little girl was about 6.5 years old when I noticed she started chewing on inappropriate things around the house, like her hair, toys that have a little give in the material, and even a charging cord for a phone.
After a few months of discouraging her, I decided to replace her developing bad habit with an appropriate item to chew, and we purchased this one from ARK.
We've had it for a couple weeks now, and the other day when we got home, she immediately announced she wanted her chew toy, found it, and happily started chewing.
I have not discovered her chewing on anything inappropriate since we found it.
She rates it a 10/10, and I'm very happy with our decision, too. Tonya
Just starting down this path to helping my child with sensory processing disorder. He had been chewing on anything and everything, relentlessly. He is very happy and satisfied using the bite saber. It's not only cool, but it satisfies his sensory needs. After using this product for two weeks, I can say it has changed our bedtime routine significantly. I do not need to give constant reminders to not chew on his covers, as his chewing needs have been satisfied throughout the day. He has fallen asleep easily and peaceably, without melatonin (our go-to for endless jitters, wiggles, and scratching), each night since having the bite saber. I am also quite happy to have purchased this product from a nice family right here in the United States. Honestly, I couldn't be more satisfied. Carey Smith
I have bought other shaped chews for my daughter to help get her off the pacifier...but sadly I have had no luck. That is, until I bought her your bite saber chewy. This is the first one that has had tremendous success. So much, in fact, that I will have to buy a stronger one because she split the red bite saber one clean up the middle. I am beyond thrilled that she chewed on it THAT much. Love you guys & your products! Samantha Lowe
The colors and feel are good. The necklace does open very easily and I don't like that. It could be easy to loose from this and it gets dirty from dropping. I bought two of the XXT for my kids and they both found them too hard to enjoy. They chew on fingernails, crush plastic bottle caps, toys, and other random stuff, so the XXT seemed the way to go. They both asked for something more chewy and haven't used these much. When they did try it they were sucking in it. These were our first chew substitutes. Now I need to pay more money to try others to see if it will help. These are expensive when not effective for the individual. Worth it if it works. Rachel
I like the saber better than the other designs. I worry about my son choking and this saber is long enough that he can't get it all in his mouth (as he can with other designs) so I worry a lot less. Toughness level is good. Very happy with this! Leah
ARK does it again! I tried many other chewy options before we found ARK. No other came close to ARK. My now 6year old son disliked the texture of every chewy I purchased, until we found ARK and purchased our first product, a ARK GRABBER in "soft". We soon moved on to Chewlery, which allows him the use of his hands, while still being able to chew. This is vital, as he is now in kindergarten, and needs use of his hands. He is now on the middle strength-XT, as his jaw has strengthened with age and he was chewing through the "soft" too quickly. He wore the "Bite Saber" on the first day of school. It was a huge hit with the boys. They all want a necklace like his. Every time my son goes to his OT/Speech therapy center wearing a new ARK chewy the therapists/parent all ask where I got it. Thank you for making a high quality product that has helped my son tremendously. Amy Anderson

ARK chew tools come in 3 color-coded toughness levels:
Usually we recommend going with the softest/standard level by default. Unless someone chews through or causes damage to anything else they chew on (chews through pencils, chews holes in shirts, etc.), in which case the XT level would be longer lasting.
If someone does chew through things, it’s possible they may need the toughest XXT level eventually. XXT is super firm, though, so we don't always recommend getting it right off the bat (some people find it uncomfortable chewing on something that firm).
So XXT is usually best either for people who have chewed through the XT level already, and/or for anyone who already likes chewing on very hard items - things like legos, hard plastic toys, wooden items, etc.
Heads up: Designs that are wider and "beefier" will feel tougher than designs that are more slender in the same toughness level. For example, the Dino-Bite in XT will feel tougher than the Krypto-Bite in XT.×
Probe Tip - This is the most versatile & popular tip attachment. It's bumpy on one side and striated on the other side for different levels of sensory input (the bumpy side provides more input than the striated side).
Mini Tip - This is a smaller version of the Probe Tip, designed for smaller mouths (about 2.5 years and under). This age recommendation is not a hard-and-fast rule though - we've seen younger kids use the Probe Tip and older individuals use the Mini Tip.
Preefer Tip - This tip attachment is rounded with ridges all along the circumference for when a "rolling" action is desired for a different kind of sensory input. Roll it over the lips, across the tongue, and inside the cheeks.
Fine Tip - This tip narrows down to a fine point, which makes it perfect for pinpointing very specific areas in the mouth.
Bite-n-Chew Tip - These tips are rounded and chewable, for practicing biting & chewing skills. The "extra long" versions are about an inch longer and a little skinnier, to make it easier to reach the back molars. The textured version has bumps for extra sensory input.
Bite Tube Tip - These tips are similar to the Bite-n-Chew Tip, but with a hollow center so that you can put puréed foods (applesauce, yogurt, etc.) inside the tip for functional biting & chewing practice. Once you bite down on the tip, you get 'rewarded' with a taste of food.
Spoon Tip - Great for feeding therapy and mealtimes, these attachments turn the Z-Vibe into a vibrating spoon! The smooth, gentle vibration can help "wake up" the mouth and decrease aversions. The textured version has bumps on the bottom of the spoon bowl to help stimulate the tongue and lower lip, and to help encourage the transition from puréed to more solid foods. The hard Spoon Tip is rigid, like a regular spoon. The soft Spoon Tip is flexible (still firm enough to hold food, but flexible enough to be gentle on the teeth if someone bites down on the spoon.
Tongue Tip - This tip can be used as a traditional tongue scraper to help establish good oral care. It can also be used to help establish the concept of tongue lateralization and elevation (hold the Tongue Tip vertically in front of the mouth and ask the individual to put the tip of their tongue inside the hole, then guide the tongue from side to side or up and down). You can also place the Tongue Tip flat on top of the tongue to provide input to a large surface area of the tongue (this tip has the largest "footprint" surface-area-wise).
Popette Tip - This tip attachment is an adaptor that lets you use lollipops with the Z-Vibe. Just twist the Popette Tip into the Z-Vibe handle, then press a lollipop into the Popette Tip. Lollipops are a fun way to get kids interested in sensory oral motor exercises.
Brush Tips - The soft version has gentle bristles for gum massage; the hard version has firmer bristles closer to that of a traditional toothbrush. These can be used to help get orally sensitive individuals more comfortable with oral care, so that they can eventually use regular toothbrushes, be more comfortable going to the dentist, etc.
Pencil - This attachment turns your Z-Vibe into a vibrating pencil! The vibration of the Z-Vibe is very smooth, so it doesn't create squiggly lines. Instead, it can help increase focus by providing more sensory input and awareness to the hand.
Pen - This attachment turns your Z-Vibe into a vibrating pen.
Crayon - And this attachment turns your Z-Vibe into a vibrating crayon.
Brick Tip - This tip attachment has large bumps on one side and small bumps on the other side for lots of varying sensory input while biting & chewing. It comes in 3 toughness levels for mild to moderate to avid chewing.×
