Chewable jewelry in 3 different toughness levels|||Made in the USA, ARK's Saber Tooth Chewelry Necklace is a safe and discreet solution for anyone who needs to chew. Use it to provide calming and organizing proprioceptive input to the jaw, to help increase focus during homework and other activities, and/or as a safe alternative to chewing/biting on fingers, knuckles, shirts, pencils, etc. Whether you call it a saber tooth, shark tooth, or dinosaur tooth, this chewable pendant has a "fangtastic" cool factor that both kids and adults will love. And just like all ARK chew tools, it comes in 3 color-coded toughness levels:
**Please note: this shape is not recommended for avid/aggressive chewing. For the longest lasting chew for avid chewing, check out the Y-Chew XXT.
Choose your option from the menu above. Each pendant is sold individually with its own adjustable breakaway necklace cord. Color hues may vary slightly.
Designed, manufactured, and assembled in the USA by ARK Therapeutic. Medical grade, FDA compliant, NO lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latex.
Caution: This product is not a toy. The clasp and cord are not intended for chewing. Contains small parts that may pose a choking hazard - direct supervision required. Recommended for ages 5 years and up. Although these chew tools are sturdy and durable, no chew tool is indestructible. Wear/tear may be expected given the nature of the intended use. How long they last is typically equal to the amount and intensity of the chewing, as well as other variables (such as jaw strength, stress/anxiety levels, if other sensory strategies are in place, etc.). While for some people a chew tool will last forever, for others with heavy/aggressive oral needs, they may go through it very quickly. Please supervise at all times and replace if necessary if the item shows signs of wear and tear. Please note: because of the pointed tip, this is not a shape we recommend for very aggressive chewing. We purchased the lime green saber tooth necklace because my son chews on his shirt and had even requested a teething toy. My son is seven and in 1st grade and he loves this! He wears it every day! Frost Clements
My kids and I love this one the most. It looks cool and is easy to clean. The breakaway is easy to breakaway when needed and is long enough and adjustable for all sizes. The only think I would suggest is to make them thinner as I have TMJ and it bothers my jaw after awhile to be open so wide.
My order came promptly and was correct. I am VERY VERY satisfied with the company and its products. Thank you so much I will be sure to share word of mouth with all of my friends and my patients. Lisya K
This is our second chewelry for our 5-year old autistic son. He is an avid chewer. We purchased the XXT Grey Saber and it has been great for him. Our first purchase was the krypto-bite XXT blue. He started breaking it apart after a couple on months of daily use, which is noteworthy, given other company's products barely lasted two weeks. We have been exploring to see if the length of the krypto-bite allowing for reach to back teeth was better for him but he seems to be just as satisfied with the krypto-bite, the saber or the brick stick. Texture, length size is offered with all and the durability makes it well worth the purchase. Shannon Towndrow
My 7 yr old son went from chewing finger nails, to sleeves and collars, to headphone cords. Finally, we decided to purchase this chew necklace as an alternative. What a game changer! No more nail bitting, cord chewing, or clothes ruined from being in his mouth! He loves his Saber tooth!!! This product has made the whole family happy! Thanks ARK! Karen Baker
My 8 year old son loves his necklace. He bites his nails and he loves this as an alternative. Crystal Matye
My son LOVES it! He's on the Autistic spectrum and he won't chew toys at school because that's "for babies". He needs that stimulation to stay focused.
His favorite animal is the shark and he keeps it in his neck and can chew it too!! It's perfect! Thank you! Karen Fredhoff
My son is happy ! And I love seeing him chew his neckless other than his toys or iPod Yoselin
Our 21 month old daughter is an oral stim seeker. She was chewing on everything, toys, books, the furniture, the parts of our front door she could get her mouth around, anything she could get in her mouth. We tried two chewies before we got the shark tooth, but they didn't seem to be what she needed. The day she got the shark tooth we knew it was the right choice for her. She has been happily chewing on it for about two weeks now. If we forget to put it on in the morning, she will feel around her shirt for it. The shark tooth has been the best purchase we've made for our daughter's oral stim needs. Carrie B
My son loved his Saber tooth chewey immediately upon opening! It had the perfect texture and give to it. My only complaint is the same apprehension I had before I got it - the tip. It is quite thick, but my son is a heavy chewer and he chewed the tip off going into the second day. :( So, lesson learned for both of us. It's not really a fault in workmanship; the quality is top notch! I think it's more poor design. Yeah, it's cool looking and the material overall is very durable. It's just that tip isn't the best design for a heavy chewer. Michele
My son is 9 1/2 years old (ASD/ADHD/SPD) is constantly making mouth noises, scripting and is echolalic. He also is constantly picking his nose. I've been trying everything to try to help him. Someone suggested chewing. I let him pick the style and color/firmness, he chose the teal saber tooth . It seems to help a lot at home. It does make a squeaking noise when he chews it with his silver tooth crown. At school they've tried it, but he became obsessive about it and the chewing noises were disturbing classmates (one con of inclusion classroom). Overall, when he is chewing he is much more regulated, the nonsense gibberish and scripting are diminished and he doesn't seem to be picking his nose as much. I'm very happy with the product. I do wish it was more successful at school, but that isn't anything to do with the product. Keila Carvalho
We got the Black XT for our first purchase. By the end of the first day, the tip was completely chewed off. Could be because my child chews with the front teeth. We got the Blue XXT on our next purchase, it too had the tip gone by the end of the day. They are not heavy and easily disguised under clothing. Remember to wash often, son takes his everywhere so I want to make sure what he's putting in his mouth is clean. Overall, I would buy this product again.
**Note from ARK - hey folks! The tip of this shape is fairly slim - it narrows down to a point to resemble a tooth. Because of that, it's not always a recommended shape for moderate to avid chewing. For those who can chew through things, any of the other shapes (except for the Krypto-Bite Tube) typically hold up to that better. Selina Mitchell
Our little guy loved this. He was used to chewing on shirts so even though we were concerned that it wouldn't hold up, we bought the softest one (red) in hopes it would be more like fabric. It worked! And it has held up decently so far. If he ends up destroying this one we might move to a tougher color. Our biggest problem is keeping it with him - we've misplaced two so far because our 5-year-old takes them off and forgets where he left them! Sarah
Great for my 4 year old. Mostly stops him from chewing on his fingers. Colin
This product is fantastic, my nine year old is a shirt-collar-chewer and he immediately switched to using the necklace. he proclaimed it the best thing I ever bought him.
Unfortunately the charm came off the cord and he lost it on the school bus, BUT I think that was more him yanking on the cord than a product defect. Emily
Great necklace, however the fastener doesn't last very long if it's chewed on. I know they're not technically supposed to be chewed on but maybe they should come with two???? Kim
Excellent product! My 9 year old son who has SPD, ADHD & anxiety really likes it. He likes to chew on things to ease his anxiety and for sensory seeking. I bought it for the beginning of 4th grade and he loves it. He says it doesn't look "babyish" and he can wear it without feeling like kids will tease him for it. Michelle B.
I am very pleased with this product. I bought it for my 14 yr old son who is affected with autism. He is constantly putting odd things like dog chews into his mouth and that is just not healthy. Now that he has the chewlery in the green (his favorite color) he can wear it to satisfy that propioceptive need. Marcie D
Wow!! What a fantastic purchase! My son is 23 and has some stress/anxiety issues as well as being on the spectrum. I am always finding him chewing on plastic bottle caps, paper clips, pen caps, etc . I worry about these things damaging his teeth and then they end up on the floor and eventually I find them in the mouths of one of our dogs! I bought the blue Bite Saber XXT and the black Saber tooth XT and they were a huge hit! For both of us!! His review/his words: “The softer saber tooth helps me focus better and is a great all around every day chew. The bite saber is the tougher plastic and it is my choice when I’m stressed. It is a tougher texture/material, I can bite harder and it won’t' puncture. There is not as much elasticity as the saber tooth and it makes it feel more like the old plastic cap." He has even started wearing the saber tooth to work and is not embarrassed by it! He feels the black tooth is discreet enough to wear at work and not draw attention to him. Thank you so much for these excellent products! Wanda and Devin
Amazing! My son love's it!!!! Hannah Reams
My son chews every straw, cup, pencil, rubber toy, phone case or whatever he gets his mouth on. This has been a great alternative. It's a little larger than expected, but it's held up well and is saving my sanity! Beth
