Save by buying ARK's Grabber® and Grabber XT® together!
As a mouthing tool, ARK's Grabber® provides an excellent opportunity for the mouth to play through jaw movement, tongue movement, and oral exploration. The chewy, resilient material can help with oral defensiveness and food aversions by de-sensitizing the mouth. It is also a safe and durable alternative to tooth-grinding and/or chewing on hazardous non-food items. The Grabber XT® is an Xtra Tough version of the Grabber®. It is constructed of a firmer material so individuals can exert more jaw pressure, but it remains chewy and resilient. Each Grabber® is constructed of medical grade materials that are FDA compliant and contain no lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latex. The resilient material is solid with no through holes or crevices that could harbor bacteria or saliva.
MADE in the USA ensures that all plastics and colors used are compliant with the FDA.
Caution: These products should only be used by a professional therapist or by a caregiver trained in their use and should be supervised at all times.

My special needs son uses these to chew and bite on. He bites on his right hand (almost making it bleed), and now has a protective splint on it. He uses the grabbers to bite on and this helps this need to bite and keep his skin safe. Is it possible to make a "slit" in the loop to keep a "paci" fastener through it to help keep it within his reach? I have some fasteners that "loop" around it, but he can pull the velcro loose that way, but I feel if it were through the material, it would not come loose as easily. I don't know if doing this would compromise the integrity of the grabber. Dear Carolyn, I'm so sorry to hear about your son's hand, but I'm glad that the Grabber is helping! Unfortunately, putting a slit through the Grabber would compromise the product. Through-holes, crevices, and slits can harbor bacteria and can be more difficult to clean, and so that's why we stayed away from that design. However, you might want to try looping a lanyard through the Grabber - staples and target should have some options. Some of them have clasps instead of velcro, which may stay put better for your son. I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions. -ARK |

I was very pleased with the price and quality of the grabbers. They are used in jaw strength and stability exercises and are cheaper through ARK than any other company. |
