ARK's Probe Tip

NEW! ARK's Probe Tip is a unique oral motor tool for speech and feeding therapy. Use it with any of ARK's Vibe handles to stimulate the gums, palate, cheek, and tongue through stroking and by applying pressure. The gentle vibrations of the Vibe handles "wake up" the mouth and provide additional sensory input. This listing is for the Probe Tip only, with significant savings on the multi-packs. Vibe handles are sold separately.

Caution: this therapeutic tool should be used under adult supervision at all times.

• The Probe Tip has three different surfaces: bumpy, striated, and smooth. These textured surfaces provide tactile input, awareness, and sensation both within the oral cavity as well as outside the mouth on the cheeks, neck, and arms.
• This new and improved tip is constructed of one solid piece of material. The sleek, one-piece design ensures that there are no holes or crevices that could harbor moisture or bacteria.
• Each tip is constructed of medical grade materials that are FDA compliant and contain no lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latex.

Use the Probe Tip to work on oral defensiveness and/or food aversions by de-sensitizing the mouth and introducing it to new textures. It can also be used to work on a variety of skills during speech, feeding, and oral motor therapy. Some of these skills may include:

Multi-use tip, 5.30.2012

This is the tip we put on our z-grabber when my daughter wants to do outer mouth circles. She loves the vibration against her face. Plus the 3 sides of different textures is great sensory input.

I've been using my trusty Z-Vibe for years now. The Probe tip is my favorite for sensory oral motor exercises. There are many other tips out there, but I keep coming back to this one. I like to scrape a little food onto the nubby side of the tip to increase acceptance. Works like a charm.
