Xtra tough and textured, recommended for moderate chewers - click to see more colors|||ARK's Y-Chew® XT is an "Xtra Tough" version of our regular Y-Chew®.  It's firmer but still chewy, recommended for moderate chewers and/or those who prefer more resistance as they chew.  Or for those with a weak jaw, individuals can "graduate" from the original Y-Chew® to this tougher version to gradually build jaw strength.  Use this oral motor chew tool to exercise the lips, tongue, cheeks, and especially the jaw, allowing the mouth to learn and grow strong through oral exploration. It can also be used:

    • As an oral fidget for sensory seekers craving oral input and stimulation
    • As a safe alternative to biting/chewing on fingers, shirts, and other hazardous non-food items
    • To decrease thumb sucking, tooth grinding, and finger/knuckle biting
    • To practice biting/chewing skills without the risk of choking
    • To improve jaw strength, jaw stability, tongue movement, and other feeding skills
    • To satisfy the urge to chew for individuals who are fed through a g-tube
    • To build oral tone, strength, mobility, control, coordination, and endurance
    • To decrease oral sensitivities, oral defensiveness, and food aversions

Made in the USA  Made in the USA by ARK Therapeutic.  Medical grade, FDA compliant, NO lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latex.

Caution Caution: This product is not a toy.  Although these chew tools are sturdy and durable, no chew tool is indestructible.  Wear/tear may be expected given the nature of the intended use.  How long they last is typically equal to the amount and intensity of the chewing, as well as other variables (such as jaw strength, stress/anxiety levels, if other sensory strategies are in place, etc.).  While for some people a chew tool will last forever, for others with heavy/aggressive oral needs, they may go through it very quickly.  Please supervise at all times and replace if necessary if the item shows signs of wear and tear.  For a tougher version of the Y-Chew® XT, check out the XXT option.  Insider tip: encourage individuals to chew on all three extensions to more evenly distribute the chewing.

    Features
    • The handle allows for an easy grip, and the extensions on the top part of the "y" make it easy to reach the back molar area we do most of our chewing.
    • Each arm has a different texture: one smooth, one ribbed, and one with gentle bumps. The varied texture helps introduce new sensations and decrease oral aversions.
    • The handle measures 2½ inches and the extensions measure 1¾ and 1¼ inches respectively.
    • Made in the USA.

    1. Great for oral fixations

Great product. My 4 year old constantly chews on anything to satisfy his oral fixation. This Y-Chew redirects him in a positive way, wish I'd thought of this sooner. This has gotten a lot of use in a few short days so I'll be getting extras to have on hand just in case.

    2. Great Tool!

The chew tools have been excellent at helping my 3 year old stop chewing his nails- he usually does this while watching tv or when he's nervous. I give him this, and he just chews on it instead!

    3. Durable

We love the Y-Chew XT because of its durability! My son can aggressively chew on these for months before I need to throw one out. I like the textures on them as well. Fantastic product I recommend them all the time!
